What Happens Next?
Upon receipt of a valid and complete DMCA Notice, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content. We will also take reasonable steps to promptly notify the user who posted the content that we have removed or disabled access to it.
Counter-Notification
If you believe that your content was removed (or access to it was disabled) as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may send us a Counter-Notification. To be effective, a Counter-Notification must be a written communication provided to our Copyright Agent that includes substantially the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which MichiganCountyMap.com may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
After we receive your valid Counter-Notification, we will forward it to the party who submitted the original DMCA Notice. If we do not receive notice within 10 business days that the original reporter is seeking a court order to prevent further infringement of the material, we may replace or cease disabling access to the material.
Repeat Infringers
It is our policy in appropriate circumstances to disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
